Happy New month! This weekend was quite boring thanks to the Fuel scarcity in Nigeria, Infact I couldn’t go anywhere from Friday till Sunday aftenoon, but I pray the Nation gets better with the incoming admnistration.

Before I go ahead with today’s post, I want to thank you for being patient with me during my two-week hiatus on the blog. Throughout last month I was so occupied with work, But that would change soon ^.^

This evening, I attended Ekeng Bassey’s album launch. Some of you may know Ekeng from EbonyLife TV where he presents on the show EL NOW. He is also an alumnus of my undergrad school. I met him last week at the NACK Store where he invited me for his event. (Oh yea! I posted a picture the day we met, see below)

So today I went with my friend Dara. The event held at Liberty House in Lekki. I got to meet lots of people and it was a soul lifting worship session, with ministrations from Nikki Laoye, Wole Emmanuel, Peter Ita and Ekeng Himself. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. I also purchased his CD afterwards.

I took my Camera along so I got to take some pictures.

So as promised here’s a post on this long Easter weekend! It was quite an eventfuLL one. On Easter friday I was home all through, but then I received a delivery from Twelve 03 meals. A huge tray of small chops. The customer service was absolutely efficient. They called me every step of the way and delivered to my mum. It was so much I’m still eating it till today. Worth every Kobo.

Let me wet your appetites ^.^ sorry!

Fast forward to saturday, I had a wedding to attend and also my friend Obum’s birthday party. I attended the wedding with my family friend Esther, It was a very intimate yet fun wedding. I got teary eyed at the father-daughter dance :(…..

Remember the Yellow Daviva Ankara I bought a while ago? that’s what I sewed my dress with. I made a simple off shoulder dress with the fabric. IMG_3682 From there I went to Lekki for Obum’s birthday. I had a quick outfit change then went to the venue. Her birthday was at Lamba’s seaside bar. It was a nice party with barbecue to munch and drinks to gulp.DSC_1166DSC_1168DSC_1160IMG_4637DSC_1178DSC_1159DSC_1188 Obum’s party was fun and I got to meet new people!

On sunday I went to church, after which I wanted to go for SARO the musical, but something came up so I couldn’t attend. Instead I went for the Lagos grill and barbecue festival. I won a ticket from Chef fregz. It held at Muri Okunola park. Many people attended I saw a few known faces, such as Falz the badguy, BMpro, Toju Foyeh e.t.c. There were also lots of food vendors and I had some Mongolian rice and a smoothie. It got dark and started raining so I left around 6pm.

As I was leaving I saw the awesome SisiYemmie! it was so nice to see her, we would have to sit down properly to have lunch soon, we’d also remember to take pictures to prove or dispel our resemblance tales lol.

Yesterday was Easter monday, and I planned to go for a Pedicure but I caught a flu, been sneezing and all since yesterday, But hopefully nothing to worry about.

That’s how I spent my weekend! I had fun, lots to eat and met lots of people…….hope yours was as eventful too.

It’s Tuesday and we are back to work. Do have a fantastic week ahead.

IMG_3700 copyHello!
How do your week go, you all know how I love weekends, always something to do or just sleep like I do sometimes. This weekend for me was a busy one. On friday I went home straight from the office and just slept like a baby while on saturday I went to Lagos Island market with my friends Seun and Dewunmi.

Dewunmi blogs at do check her out, her stories are awesome.

Here’s what I wore on friday…

[caption id="attachment_5468" align="aligncenter" width="639"]Shoes: River Island|Purse: HOF|Jeans: newlook Shoes: River Island|Purse: HOF|Jeans: newlook[/caption]

At the market, I wanted to get some fabrics and a new clothing rack for my room. The one I had collapsed the other day and I just couldn’t find another. Here’s a picture of how my old one looked like.

I found the fabrics at Ereko street Idumota, the guys that attended to us were very nice and courteous. I got 6 fabrics in total. 3 Silks and 3 Chiffons. I intend to make shift dresses and Iro & buba out of them….pardon how I look below, Seun is a horrid photographer lol. I wore an Ankara bubu(free maxi dress) and clutched my bag tight for security reasons, loitering hoodlums don’t play…..
It’s been three years since I visited Lagos market, but I could still find my way around. During our sojourn, my slippers cut, so I had to sit in a store whilst I get it fixed or buy a new one. A really nice store owner let me sit in her store and she looked for a cobbler for me. When she didn’t find one she offered me an extra pair of slippers in her store, which I was quite surprised by her extra kind gesture. I took them, went to buy a new pair and returned hers. Trust me, there are still nice people in this world. I didn’t even buy anything from her……such a lovely lady!

Moving on, I bought so much street food on my way round the market. From Boli(Roasted plantain) to Agbalumo/odara (White star fruit) to Smoked fish (Eja osan). I was just eating anyhow, luckily no food poisoning a day after…. I also got Fan Yogurt, My favorite!

The shopping experience, street food and scorching sun was fun lol .

p.s never wear makeup(not even powder like I did) to huge markets, Lesson learnt!

Fast forward to Sunday, I went to church with my lovely friend Obum, the sermon was awesome! The preacher talked about releasing all to God and just basking in his grace and mercy by faith. i.e releasing your fears, expectations, qualifications, worries e.t.c…….Since we are a product of grace we should walk in it boldly.

After church we changed into our slippers and went to Sweet kiwi in lekki as foodies ^.^. I think since I got back I’ve been there practically every weekend. My favorite mix is Kiwi and pineapple topped with granola and grapes, Yum! Also the store attendant asked if I wanted a loyalty card, and as a regular I’m entitled to 10% off henceforth ^.^ I said Yes with joy and collected it! *dancing*!!

From sweet kiwi I went to shoprite to look for the rack as I didn’t find any yesterday at the market, I found one at shoprite but wasn’t the one I was looking for so I just went to window shop instead. I ended up at the DAVIVA Store there, and bought this beautiful Ankara fabric, It was love at first sight. Yellow on dark skin is absolutely beautiful, can’t wait to sew this into a dress.

This weekend was eventful, Obum even lost her phone today, but thankfully someone found it, and hopefully we’d pick it up tomorrow evening.

This year has been a fantastic year so far, a few downs but God has been so faithful in all areas. One of my goals this year was to live a very full life, from the littlest of things to the biggest moments, I promised myself to live all cheerfully and in gratitude. So cheers to more outstanding moments this year.

Oh yes I have some good news for you all, but would share later this week ^.^

Hello, How was your weekend? Mine was eventful as usual lol, I actually never liked going out but since I returned it seems there’s always somewhere to be. My family friend Esther decided to take me out, so she suggested we visited Lekki conservation centre(LCC), which isn’t too far from mine. It was a lovely […]

IMG_5097Hello people,

How did your weekend go? Mine was quite busy and exciting….Let me first share a ‘goodnews’, my cargo with all my lights and filming equipment has arrived so I shall begin vlogging ASAP!

So back to my weekend,I Visited quite a few places, from SweetKiwi to IamCookieJar bakery, and also attended a wedding, actually my friend Mimi’s introduction. That was the highlight of the weekend. Mimi brought the asoebi Gele to me like 3days before the wedding and I had no tailor to sew the outfit. I went down my street and found a tailor who was willing to sew me a dress in short notice.

She charged me for express service, but I collected the dress Friday night and she didn’t disappoint. No amendment needed whatsoever, just a perfect fit. The next day was the event and I tied a Gele…God bless the late Adenike of Ewarmakeovers who put up a video on how to tie a gele on YouTube, that’s how I learnt how to tie……may her soul rest in peace.

I think I didn’t do a horrid Job in that department, I got there in good time and I was pleased my Gele wasn’t out-of-place. (Pink is such a vibrant colour! new fav)

IMG_3911Also over the weekend I received a package from . I won a lovely skirt on their Instagram page and they had delivered it to my mum since, but my mum just remembered and gave it to me. It was well packaged and the skirt was a perfect fit! I shall do an outfit post on that later…

IMG_8928Also on Sunday afternoon, I went round Lekki today with my friends Lano and Mayowa, I went to sweetKiwi for the first time since I got back to try their frozen Yogurt, I heard about the buzz and wanted to try….and yes it was worth every Naira. I had a mix of the york cheesecake, sweet kiwi and pineapple flavour…toppings were granola, grapes and oreo cookie crumbs…it was so good! The staff was extremely polite, our attendant’s name was ‘Shedrach’, very courteous man. I also went to cookiejar bakery because Lano was craving some cake, we didn’t eventually get the type she wanted we had to go to coldstone, yet we didn’t satisfy Lano’s sweet tooth…..lolIMG_2721Moving on……..I also deep conditioned my hair this weekend, this Lagos weather hasn’t been the most exciting so my hair needed some TLC. I washed my hair and did a quick vinegar rinse (spraying your hair with diluted acid cider vinegar and washing it out after 20minutes). That helps to wash out dandruff and existing product buildup… I shared on my Instagram page details of that.

Finally! A new salon and makeup studio opened in my area(Ajah), It belongs to my aunt @shalzmakeupGeek , It’s a beautiful environment for your one stop beauty needs. They offer Massages, facials, makeovers, salon , photography etc! Milles visages is located before Ado round about, inside de-legacy Plaza ado road 08181514982. Ensure you visit and refer them! lots of freebies this month!IMG_0910

Anyway that’s how I spent my weekend, How did you spend yours? This morning I’m going to work late because I have to sort out my luggage and tidy up my room….should blog again later in the day!

Have a great week ahead,

Be fruitful.

IMG_1594Hello all!

Hope your weekend went well? Mine was rather eventful. I went to church, attended a wedding and also went out with a friend to Yellow Chilli. I finally had the ‘almighty’ Sea food Okra and pounded yam(Not poundo) from there. Before I came to Nigeria the hype has been so much about that particular meal…so when Taiwo invited me out I was excited to give it a try. The food was good and the service was Excellent. Our server ‘Nerngyu’ was so polite and prompt with our orders. I liked the ambience, the people and the food was great. I got full rather quickly..However the bathroom didn’t do it for me……it was a bit untidy and dark.IMG_1475

Moving on to saturday, I attended a friend’s wedding…….she invited me on short notice and having cargoed all my boxes(still waiting on them) I didn’t have what to wear. I had to buy a new dress. I went to a boutique in Ikota shopping complex and in like 5minutes I found a dress. The sales girl made me wear the dress before telling me the price, I should have refused…… upon trying the dress it fit like a glove so I had to buy it regardless of the price….But it wasn’t too bad…. I attended the wedding with my friends Obum and Mayowa. It was fun and I caught up with lots of people from my Alumni….IMG_6224FullSizeRenderIMG_7451

IMG_8161Today I had a meeting and also had to do some work for my dad at the office….Here’s what I wore. I know its been a while I put up an Outfit post. Please bear with me………as soon as I sort out my luggage I’d resume fashion blogging and videos..

Today my brother, a friend and I went to a buffet restaurant to have dinner. Tope is leaving back to school in a few days so I thought to take him out…… I’d miss him *sobs*. I love food and dining out is one of the ways to my heart…

I try to eat out at least once a week and also a new place every time. This time I went to this buffet place my friend introduced me to, it’s called ‘FEAST’. The food was good, the staff was courteous and ambience was rather warm and cosy. I filled my self well, from starters to dessert. I had crabs, shrimps, ice cream, Singapore fried rice, egg fried rice, beef, chicken in black bean sauce, and fruits to step down lol…Tope has spaghetti withlots of dessert. It was worth every penny spent. I rate the overall experience 9/10. All you can eat including drinks costs an estimate of £50 for 3 people, which I think is OK. DSC_0714DSC_0715
