DISCUSSION: CULTURE SENSITIVITY: INDIA / NIGERIA
Posted on January 29, 2014 12 Comments
Hi all,
This is a video about culture and differences, I made this video with my friend Karan, and we basically just laughed and discussed topics from people to relationships, marriage, communal living and beauty in regards to our various cultures. The video wasn’t quite planned, we just swinged it. Also I was a bit abrasive towards him, because I didn’t understand some parts of the culture, but I guess we learn everyday…..And after this discussion I learnt to be more tolerant to things/cultures I don’t understand……
Hope you enjoy.

Posted on January 26, 2014 11 Comments
Hello all,
Lately I’ve been having several conversations with people concerning what exactly being beautiful is, and I was quite intrigued about the opinions people had and the standards society has set to classify beauty, from physical appearances/features to character and finesse ……
To you, what exactly makes someone beautiful? Kindly let me know what you think……..
I decided to give you my 2cents on the topic…

Hello all,
So I recently got a message that my Vlog on “What is your God” was recently featured on a website dsaved.com as seen above, and I was so glad when I saw the post. Based on the stats of my blog, I realised that video was the most watched out of all my Vlogs on the blog till date, and that makes me so happy to know that people are more interested in their spirituality and growth than vain pursuits.

Hello,
I figured I should put up more of my everyday style on the blog, instead of the usual dressy sunday posts, because as for me, comfort is key on a daily basis. For those who may not know, I HATE DISLIKE JEANS!! I find jeans quite boring and fairly uncomfortable (well except for those made with a stretchy material or baggy boyfriend jeans). I avoid wearing them as much as possible, Plus with jeans you have to find a top, belt, and sometimes even a blazer to complement the look, whereas with a dress, just a nice shoe and purse, you’re good to go!
Well, enough rambling on my fashion pet peeves, here’s a look from my everyday life.

D.I.Y: REVAMP YOUR OLD WEAVE WITH HIGHLIGHTS
Posted on January 19, 2014 13 Comments
Hello guys,
I’ve been on weave for some weeks now, and I got bored, so I decided to add some highlights to my hair, If I had used platinum blonde dye it would have had a more “ombre” effect, but I really don’t like “attractive” hairstyles, so I went for chestnut blonde which comes out as a light brown on dark hair. Here is a 3minute tutorial on how I achieved the look, And i’m very impressed with the results. ^.^
Items Needed: Hair dye, Conditioner and gloves.
**Note: Your weave needs to be of good quality to maintain volume and bounce, Also avoid hair-dyes with ammonia.
**Perform a strand test to see how the colour would come out, If satisfied proceed to colour the entire head.

Items needed: Hair Straightener, Tail comb, Moisturiser/Heat protectant.

MY TOP 10 ONLINE STORES
Posted on January 10, 2014 9 Comments
Hello guys,
I’ve gotten several questions about where I like to shop online (without breaking my bank), and recently an email from a subscriber asking me to do a post on that, so here……..
NOTE: all of the stores are UK ONLINE STORES, But they deliver internationally, I’d do a post on online shops in Nigeria as soon as I begin to use them, as I’ve only shopped on Konga, Jumia and TNL, So I can’t do a detailed post on online stores in Nigeria, but I tag SAYEDERO of FashionEngineer to do this post, as she may be more familiar with them.
Tip: Regardless of the store or how gorgeous a dress looks online, always check the info bar to know the materials in which the dress is made up of. Its best to familiarise yourself with fabrics and their names, because pictures sometimes are not enough to judge fit. I personally buy dresses with polyester, Elastane, cotton etc.. The reason is because these fabrics allows my dresses to fit like a glove, and hug my curves right without appearing tight or revealing unnecessary contours.
You may be familiar with some of these stores already or maybe not(Click store names to visit site)
1. ASOS : The reason this online store is my number 1 is because of prompt delivery, variety of designers, and the ease of navigation on the website. I like the fact that I can streamline my search to the teeth, starting from the colour, price, designer and the length of the dress. they also ship free worldwide as I assume you already know.
2.AQAQ : This store is amazing, its formally known as aqua by aqua, anytime I want a statement piece I go to this store, its quite pricy in comparison to the regular high street brands, but they sell quality and style. The dresses and clothes are unique, you hardly find 3 of the same outfit on the website. If you are looking for clothes that are different in design definitely visit this store. Free shipping on orders over £100
3.ROSEWHOLESALE: I just encountered this store recently and I must say the prices are mind-blowing, Its a chinese store but delivers worldwide at a rate, they sell fashion items from clothes, to shoes, jewellery etc.. They also do lots of sales on the already ridiculously cheap items. My only concern with the store is the notion on things from China i.e they don’t last, Buy hey, you get the quality of the price you are willing to pay for.
4. AXPARIS: Firstly they are currently on sale, and I must say everything is a steal for the quality, I love love love this store, they sell everything! but they only do free shipping in Uk for orders over £65 and I love a bargain, so I only shop here when i’m willing to splurge
5. MISSGUIDED: They have variety and that I also love, they sell nice clothes especially for the “partying population”, If you want dresses that flatter your assets, from jumpsuits to gowns to tops they have all sorts here…
