I FINALLY DID THE BIG CHOP!
Hello people, for over a year now I have been hallucinating for this day to come, the day I cut all of my hair off !
I started noticing the beauty in natural hair a couple of years back and instantly fell in love with it ,its more indigenous to my culture,
less expensive, reduces the hassle of perms, weave ons and lots more , but I did not have the guts to do so then and sadly my hair has been relaxed since my 5th birthday. Its not that I hated my relaxed locks, just that the hair was just getting fuller every year but not with great length… I have cut my hair previously but nothing too drastic just normal shaved back with bangs in front.
So around May this year I decided to transition for 5months (I.e no more relaxers or heat of any form ) then i waited for that phase to be over and finally I cut it all off last weekend !
Although prior to that I had researched on routines, products and other people with natural hair as inspiration before I took this bold step..I did a video of the haircut at the barbers but would upload that later. Here are some pictures though, to see how I have been rocking my new look!
These were some of the pictures i used as inspiration below
Also the following are the products i have been using so far since I cut my hair..
I then decided to color it brown, so I bought creme of nature hair dye in chestnut brown, which I loved the result on my hair!
So far I have been loving this look, and the response from my friends have been great, The best part is the shower 😉 I would definitely update from time to time on my growth, my hair regimen, product reviews etc …..
hence I’m allowed to say “change is good ”
😀
Have an awesome weekend!
Xoxo
