QUICK TIPS FOR THE BUSY GIRL TO A TIDY ROOM

ROADTRIP-3

If you are like me, then this post is for you. I have a fairly busy schedule and it doesn’t encourage a tidy environment. Most people think being an entrepreneur means you can do what you want, how you want…….but that’s far from the truth. Working for yourself means being at your clients disposal.

I consider myself a creative, and most creative people have selective OCD when it comes to space organisation. I have a lot of stuff; From work equipments to clothing to sentimental items. I often tease myself on how I’d need a trailer truck to move my belongings whenever I need to move out.

Recently this has been my schedule: Read More

5 MISTAKES I MADE AS A NEW BLOGGER

5 MISTAKES I MADE AS A NEW BLOGGERWhen I first started blogging I was so naive yet enthusiastic. I truly did not know people living in Nigeria could make a living out of blogging. I didn’t read tabloids so I was clueless about the ‘million Naira” Blog ADs or what not. However, I knew you could become very popular with blogging, and money chases fame most times.

For me, I did it out of pure fun. I started out as a style blog as many of you would know and its been about 4 Years now. I looked back yesterday at the many unwise decisions I made as a budding blogger. Beside the common mistakes of layout and photo quality I realised I made quite some fundamental mistakes. I’m however grateful that I caught on fast and was able to rebrand in a way that resonates with who I really am.

In today’s post I would be sharing a few of the mistakes I made and why you don’t want to make them as a newbie blogger. Read More

THE ULTIMATE GUIDE FOR A SHOPPING TRIP TO LAGOS ISLAND MARKET

28 beautifulweddings-3Oh the famous and infamous Lagos Island market, I have concluded I have a love and hate relationship with this place, that’s the only explanation of why I keep going back.

This market is located in the heart of Lagos Island, it’s a central place for shopping, links both the mainland via Eko bridge and the Island via Onikan ring road. It’s a place where you can find absolutely anything. From the most expensive jewellery to the cheapest fabric, Lagos market got you. It’s also popularly known as Balogun.

Growing up my mum worked in a bank, which was located on Martins street, right inside Lagos Island. Anytime she took me to her office on weekends I knew it was inherently a shopping trip. We bought everything there, from foodstuffs to my Cortina school shoes to Christmas outfits for the entire family, my mum knew all the routes and stalls. I grew up knowing this area like the back of my hand.

When I got older and could go myself it was a breeze. I knew how to haggle, how to deal with street urchins, how to politely decline vendors all up in your face and lots more.  The last time I went there about two weeks ago and I decided I needed to make a post about the almighty Lagos market that everyone seems to dread.

So here is my ultimate guide in 11 points! Read More

CASUAL OOTD + WEEK ROUND UP!

img_0712-1Hello,

Today’s post was an impromptu one, I tried filming a video of my bun and found out I lost most of the footage, I was just like urggh! but decided to get on with my day. My  friend Mercy came over and we decided to do lunch after a few errands.

Our outfits matched so a post idea popped up. I hardly have any posts of me on a regular day  in sandals or flats, so here’s one!

I usually have my camera with me so that wasn’t a problem. We found a willing stranger to help with the photos, and I must say he did a good job. Thank you Mr Kehinde.
