GET MY LOOK WITH JEFFREY COEN! + DISCOUNT CODE FOR YOU

Hello,
I love working with Jeffrey Coen, their brand director is so pleasant. I was sent this off-shoulder top weeks ago, but my work schedule didn’t permit me to style it. Last friday I decided to wear it to work.
I paired it with my high-rise jeans, black sandals, gold accessories, and a patent bag. The top is an off shoulder one but I couldn’t wear it to work as that so I wore it as a regular top, it still looked great.
The black and gold details were very attractive and I love the stitching, very neat.
I’m wearing my Anna hair I made into a wig.

WEEKEND ROUND UP+OOTD
Posted on September 29, 2015 6 Comments
Hello!
How have you been and how was your long holiday for those living in Nigeria. Mine was event filled. I attended the spirit life conference at the Rock cathedral from Wednesday-Friday so it didn’t really feel like we had a public holiday. I was out daily. The conference had teachings and ministrations from amazing preachers like Cindy Trim, Mike Murdock, John Francis, and my papa Bishop David Oyedepo. It was truly a life changing and edifying experience for me.
After the conference was over on Saturday afternoon I attended the Dolce and Gabbana velvet perfume collection launch at the palms. It was a cocktail for bloggers, influencers and media practitioners. I got there on time and met with lots of other bloggers I already knew. Oma, Tuke Morgan, Cassie Daves, Beauty In lagos and Mide Coker were also present. I received a goodie bag from the event and would be sharing more Details in a consequent post.
Fast forward to Sunday, which was rather quiet for me. I went to church and came home to cook, filmed a video and slept all through.
Monday was a kick-start back to my daily work routine. I went to work as usual but decided to maximise my lunch break with a food treat and a OOTD photo session for the blog.
My manager, colleague and I went to ice-cream factory for some desserts. After waiting for about 20minutes, our order finally came. I had an Apple crumble, Amaka had some crepes while my manager Francis had this ice cream mix called Cookie Monster. It was really nice so it was worth the wait.
After filling up our bellies, the “Outfit of the day” Photo session begun. Mr Francis helped with the photos and they came out good.
I’m wearing a Stripped top from Forever 21, A flared skirt I bought from a boutique at Oniru(BUY SIMILAR) and two tone-nude court shoes from London Rebel. I accessorized with my hair, a Neck cuff from Topshop and gold Bracelets from H&M.

It was a rather Smile filled day thanks to the food. Hope your weekend was awesome? I’m already looking forward to the next one. I would post on the D&G event as soon as I get the photos!
xoxo

THE WOMAN: A LOOK BOOK BY THEODORA OLUMEKOR
Posted on September 22, 2015 3 Comments
This look book was created by Theodora Olumekor, a Nigerian Based makeup artist. The inspiration behind the look book is to portray women as strong and amazing people. To empower as many women out there as possible as well as showcase the Woman in all her variety and dignity. it is driven by passion to inspire and encourage women to celebrate their uniqueness, discover who they really are and embrace their inner potential.
“The Woman” is a bold attempt to showcase the beauty, uniqueness and variety of women and inspire them to become everything they can be.
it is an exhibition of Womanhood from the naivety and innocence of the Nubile, to the virtue and dignity of the African Woman, to the split persona of the Vector Girl, the smart and elusive Fox, the broken yet absolutely beautiful and amazing Abused, the daring and adventurous Audacious, to the cheerful and optimistic Free Spirit.
The African Woman – The Woman in her prime. An achiever, she has seen the ups and downs of life and her experiences have shaped her to be the Woman she has become. She is hardworking and disciplined. She looks to do what it takes to achieve her goals. Her setbacks have not limited her, they have only strengthened her resolve. Proud, virtuous and dignified. “She guards her loins with strength and strengthens her arms, she perceives that her merchandise is good; her candle does not go out by night” – Proverbs 31:15-19.

The Nubile – Strong, youthful, vibrant and virile. The nubile is a depiction of the innocence and naivety of the young woman. She has the drive to pursue her dreams and goals as well as the youthful exuberance to keep going on after making mistakes or facing setbacks. Her sunny outlook on life and the future is vital to The Woman. “My dove, you are in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see your countenance, let me hear your voice, for sweet is your voice and your countenance is comely” – Songs of Solomon 2:14.
Vector Girl – Call her two-faced. She is the woman that life has made her become. Having tasted the bitter and sweet experiences of life, she has two personalities. On one side she is the beautiful, charming, sweet and caring person but on the other hand she has a dark, protective and fierce side hardened by her experiences. The personalities you see are dependent on your relationship with her. She must take courage and rise above the odds life has thrown at her. “A double minded person is unstable in all their ways, like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed” – James 1:6-8
The Abused – She is beautiful, she is amazing and she has the potential to be so much more. That potential has been curtailed, she bears the brunt of a coward’s inadequacies, and the object of this vented frustrations. In truth, the battering has not and will never change her potential but she needs to rise above all the hurt, abuse and pain. She must learn how to liberate herself from her dependence on the coward, no matter the kind of abuse; verbal, physical or psychological. She holds the power to end the abuse. She needs to explore herself, find who she is within and express it without. Once liberated, she will become the Woman: Unstoppable. “If it be so, liberty dictates that we have been made free and from here on we are standing firm but if liberty be taken away from us, let it be known that our hearts remain and with it we soar high upon the wind like eagles” – Daniel 3:17-18
The Audacious – Daring, fearless and confident. She gets excited in the face of adventure and is thrilled by the highs of a new challenge. She doesn’t shirk from new things and would rather take the most challenging route than take the easy way out. Never afraid to try out new things, take risks and her daring spirit is extremely admirable. “Stand firm therefore in the liberty where Christ has made you free and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage” – Galatians 5:1.
The Fox – She is the cunning one. She is smart, witty, street smart and highly intellectual. She is also very calculating. She knows what she wants and can employ different methods to get it. A little devious. Not easily predictable. She is to all intents and purposes, what I call the Smooth Operator. She is the one you want but you can’t have. “As sheep in the midst of wolves, making ignorance of men the danger you pose just like the fox; therefore be wise as serpents and gentle as doves” – Matthew 10:16.

The Free Spirit – Friendly, jovial, optimistic and extremely full of life. The Free Spirit is a bundle of joy, life and love. She always brings these attributes to everyone she meets. She is always has a positive vibe and aura around her. She has that “can do” spirit that just rubs off on everyone around her. Never lacking a smile. She is always the life of the party and sees the good in everybody. “For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death” – Romans 8:2

LOGOS: TODAY’S CHRISTIANS AND TRUTH : JUDGING
Posted on September 13, 2015 12 Comments
Hello,
This post has been sitting in my draft for way too long. I needed to sit and properly study on this message before I felt the leading to publish. So as usual, get your bibles and notepads and lets begin.
For the past six months I’ve had amazing conversations and studies on what living Christlike in today’s world means, I’ve learnt so much. I’d be sharing some in this post and would try not to make it lengthy.
Before I go on I’d like to discuss on what exactly a true believer’s foundational truth is. Here is what scriptures teach us.
1. Jesus is Lord, and All power on heaven and earth has been given to him. Hence no one can see the father unless by him. There is no alternate means. Philippians 2:9-11, 1corinthians 8:6, John 14:6
2. God the father and Jesus are one John 10:30, John 17:21
3. Sins have been forgiven at the cross, all you need to operate in that dominion is to accept Jesus and do his will. Hebrews 10:12-14, Colossians 2:13-14 , 2 corinthians 5:17-21
4. There is a reward for righteousness and sin. One is a glorious eternal life in heaven, the other is death and hell. Romans 6:23
5. Jesus died and death could not hold Him down. He rose from the dead and ascended to the throne of God in heaven. Acts 2:24,Romans 14:9
6. All in Christ have the Holy Spirit as a witnesses and a helper, all members of the Body of Christ are new spiritual creations John 14:26
7. Satan also known as the Devil is real and is a powerful spiritual adversary. (A Christian’s defense from Satan is putting on the whole armor of God – Eph 6:7)
Having said the above there are still some biblical truths that many Christians today have misconceptions about. E.g what exactly is judgment or what edifies/ what doesn’t. Today we’d be talking on the former.
I recently made a decision not to over analyse or explain some biblical truths to anyone with an antagonistic approach. I realise how sensitive the topic is and I get so passionate when others muddle up scriptures or are seeking logical answers to the supernatural. I realised that sometimes explaining doesn’t edify, rather it creates feud, enemity or stirs up strife. The bible says in 2 Timothy 2:14 to “Remind them of these things, and solemnly charge them in the presence of God not to wrangle about words, which is useless and leads to the ruin of the hearers.”
This scripture has totally changed the way I evangelise about Christ, I am considerate that the hearer may not have the full of knowledge Christ so I endeavour to share the word with love however stifling it may be. Doing this has opened me up to a lot to views about christianity. I listen to people a lot so I could understand their perspective before I speak. This has made me realise that many of today’s christians in order to sound warm or politically correct in the guise of showing love have unconsciously decided to be luke warm.
This morning in my devotion I wondered that since God is all loving and forgiving why do we go through trials and why is there judgment. Atheists argue that if truly God is loving why is there hell? why can’t we all just be forgiven on the last day. I would not claim to be full of certainity on why there is judment, but this I know, Life is a responsibility and there is a reward attached to it
2 Corinthians 5: 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.
- “Jesus did not prohibit judging of any sort, as verse 6 makes clear. Rather, He warned against judging others in way that we would not want applied to ourselves. To judge another person in a harsh spirit is to take on a role reserved only for God. Only the Lord can see beyond the outward appearance to underlying motives and causes in a person’s heart.
- warning against criticizing other people without considering how open to criticism we ourselves may be; be judged may well refer to God’s judgment, as well as that of other people. But v 6 indicates that there is also a right kind of judgment which the disciple is called on to exercise (cf. also vs 15–20).
The bible actually says in 1 Corinthians 2:15b The spiritual person judges all things….. meaning there’s a right way to ‘judge’. We as believers are encouraged in scriptures to test all things and be discerning in all we do, see 1 Thessalonians 5:21. This gives you the full authority as a christian to call good good, and evil evil. I personally encourage every one I meet to speak up for what they believe in with utmost love yet not shielding the truth.
So for instance, you tell someone “Lying is a sin, God hates a lying tongue” and the person replies “But haven’t you lied before? or don’t you lie sometimes? please don’t judge me, judge yourself”. You can simply reply “That doesn’t change the fact that God detests lying, and if indeed I lie, or continue in sin without repentance I am also liable for the judgment in Revelations 21:8. This is assuming that you want to engage this person.
“But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars–they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” Revelation 21:8
In the bible when the scribes and the Pharisees, who were law bears, brought a woman to Jesus who had been found in the very act of committing adultery, they wanted to stone her, according to the law of Moses. Jesus’ response was in verse 7
“… when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her”. [John 8:7]
When the pharisees came with accusations, Jesus did not deny the woman’s guilt, and did not ask for mercy on her behalf. She was an adulteress and liable to death according to the law. But with his response there was one dilemma… who will cast the first stone? Jesus’ words were a warning to the Pharisees who were seemingly hypocritically & antagonistically casting judgement verse 7. With this they became convicted by their own conscience and they gradually dispersed leaving the woman alone with Jesus, who tells her that her accusers have disappeared and neither will He condemn her. She is free to go.
Some people have also taken this scripture out of context forgetting that Jesus saved her from the law’s consequence of her sin. He did not condemn her neither did he endorse her sin instead he asked her to go and ‘Sin no more’.He never gave her license to sin, but urged her to forsake her sin in the future.
The earlier we begin to take biblical instructions utterly the better for us. The word of God is our only sure and true manual for life, it’s God itself John 1:1. So if we claim to love God, then we must uphold his word and be true ambassadors. No undercover agents as my friend Chinomso would say. God’s truth transcends generations and cultures, so matter what fashion or lifestyle this generation may spring up there’s God’s opinion about it, just dig deep in his word and find it.

Happy weekend, I’m particularly glad this week is over. Can’t wait to unwind and rest as much as I can through the weekend. I also would be publishing a few posts aswell.
Hope your week was great and you have great plans for the weekend. I intend on visiting a few places this weekend with my family, I’d try to blog about it.
I was sent a t-shirt by Zerah Tees, christian based fashion company recently launched. I got the package on a Wednesday and I knew I had to rock it on Friday to work. So yesterday I took it out the carrier bag and wore it. The first thing I noticed was the plushness of the fabric, SO SOFT, stretchy and durable. It exude quality. I was so impressed that I immediately sent the company a text expressing my gratitude and appreciation.
I styled it with basic blue jeans, white sandals(River Island) and a red graphic bag. I complimented the top with a Gold neck cuff and small gold studs. The overall look was simple but I loved it.
My Tee shirt design is in form of a crossword puzzle, but it says SAVED.
Check out ZERAHTEES HERE

It rained a lot earlier in the day, so as soon as it cleared up a bit I asked her my lovely colleague Bimbo to help with the photos. It was drizzling while we took the pictures, but I bet you couldn’t tell……..
Have a fantastic weekend ahead!
speak to you later.

CAKE REVIEW: MIMI’S PATISSERIE!
Posted on September 1, 2015 2 Comments
I’m a cake lover, basically I love what comes with it……. joy, sugar and sharing. It’s always a delight when a desserts company contacts me for a review.
Mimi’s patisserie was established in December 2013 with a speciality in Cakes and Desserts. Their range includes
Cakes – Healthy choices: Banana bread, Sugar free cakes, carrot cake, coconut cake
Other choices- butterscotch cake, chocolate sponge, chocolate chips sponge, vanilla sponge, strawberry sponge, cinnamon sponge.
Celebration Cakes, Wedding Cakes, Bridal Shower Cakes, Product launch Cakes, cookies & Cinnamon rolls
The cake was sent to me on sunday morning just before church. The delivery man was very polite and didn’t have a problem locating my home. I was told the cake was better eaten fresh but I forgot and placed it in the freezer as I rushed out for church. After church I realised my mistake and quickly brought it out to defrost.
Later in the day I decided to delve in a bit. It was quite a tall 8″ cake. I cut out a slice and realised it had three layers. A bottom red one, a vanilla layer and a top chocolate layer. All covered in Frost, icing, raisins and grapes. The bottom red part was the most attractive so I went for it first and Oh my! It was goo-ey, and sweet. It had this jelly like consistency which I really enjoyed. My next favourite after the toppings (dried blueberries, raisins, cherries, grapes and chocolate sundae) was the top chocolate sponge, My brother almost finished the entire layer. I had to warn him to hands off as I wanted to take some to work the next day for my colleagues to have a taste. The chocolate layer was very rich and airy. It wasn’t like a pound cake. It was a perfect sponge cake.
I’m not really a fan of Vanilla cakes so the middle layer was my least favorite, it tasted just normal to me.
The next day I went to work with the cake and shared it to my colleagues, My manager Mr. Francis (who took my previous blog photos) was especially very impressed with the chocolate part and butter cream Icing. He kept asking for more. My other colleague Amaka shared the same sentiment with me about the red sponge-gooey part, we both cleared the base, so Yum!
I liked the cake I was sent, the packaging and label was nice, also they have a website where you could place an order/enquiries which is great. After asking 3 other people who tasted the cake with me, Overall I would rate it 8/10. Here is why I didn’t give it a perfect score.
- I felt the vanilla part was quite basic in comparison to the other layers.
- There was a lot going on with the frosting and icing, It had a rough look and was rather messy to share.
- The butter cream was a little bit too sweet for me with a sweet tooth.

And that’s all! The price for the 3 in 1 Gateau I had was N8,000, Which I think is fair for a cake with all that. Do let me know what you think below in the comment box.

Got Questions, requests or suggestions? Kindly leave a comment below, I’d love to hear from you…
NOTE: When it comes to reviews, I like to be very honest. Any company that contacts me for a review is also aware of that. However, if a product or service offered/sent to me is sub-optimal in my opinion I won’t review it on the blog. The reason is I don’t think there is a point in tarnishing the image of a business. Instead I mail back the company and let them know my displeasure and areas in which they may need to improve.
AFFORDABLE SAME DAY DELIVERY IN LAGOS: FIJI LOGISTICS!
Posted on September 1, 2015 Leave a Comment
Fiji is a crowd-sourcing logistics platform aimed at solving the challenges of deliveries first in Lagos then Nigeria. With a business model built around crowd-sourcing, it’s redefining the logistics space by using customized technology and innovations.
They have created an opportunity for an unemployed person, a 9 – 5 worker or an entrepreneur to make some extra cash with resources they already have (Motorbike, Car, Van).
This model is designed to meet the shipping needs of regular customers, offline retailers (brick and mortar stores) and e-commerce companies in Nigeria, thereby fostering competition between big and small retailers by providing a level playing field for smaller businesses that do not have the capacity to invest in a private fleet for logistics.
FIJI recognizes that the negative implications of urbanization in Nigeria – like in any other country in the world – such as congested roads, especially in Lagos, have added more to the headache of logistics. Last mile delivery has taken most of the heat of the effect of this urbanization and demand for it (last mile delivery) is likely to increase as e-commerce volumes grow.
We strongly believe this model is a scalable solution to problems faced with last mile deliveries. There is a 100% chance someone is already going in the direction of your package which needs to be delivered. We are plugging into that people-power with concrete validation of dispatchers. With the number of validated dispatchers increasing on our platform, we are beginning to have coverage of the entire Lagos state. Having dispatchers in different Local Government areas/towns in Lagos.
Operations began in Lagos this year with a solid technical back-end to process pickup and delivery requests on the fly. Customers make pickup requests on our website and within minutes, the request has been assigned to a dispatcher within the pickup region. Deliveries are guaranteed to be done on the same pickup day.
However, this has pretty much been a semi-automated process as we are using this as a knowledge gathering phase to increase our understanding of the requirements to effectively run this model automatically and adequately build our findings into the Fiji app. Our technical team have been putting the pieces together in completing the app.
With the Fiji app, you can place pickup requests and get to see available dispatch riders / drivers in your location for quick pickup and delivery. On the app, you can track and trace your package movements from pickup point to delivery point. You can as well get to see the bio data of the dispatch rider / driver before he/she comes to pickup your package. All you need to use this app as a customer or a dispatch rider is a smart phone and an internet connection. The Fiji app is set for release in Q4 2015.
