MY TOP 4 CHRISTIAN BLOGS
Posted on July 3, 2016 5 Comments
Hello,
Besides the Bible I love other faith-based resources. From YouTube videos to podcasts to blogs, I spend quite some time on these. I thought to share my top Christian blogs with you. These are blogs written by seasoned believers, who have trained themselves with the word of God. I find myself going through their archives to re-read posts and share with my network.
- In the midst of Her: I won’t talk too much about this blog, just take some time and visit it. You would be oh so edified! she breaks it down. Rightly dividing. My best post from her is about the 1 Timothy 3 man. If you are in a relationship or looking to enter one, this would be a great guide for you.
- Precious Thoughts: This blog is written by my dear friend Chinomso precious, How I love her. Her posts are not too lengthy but they are just right. The way she uses her life circumstances to write posts are simply beautiful. I also love her profound phrases and how she interprets the word.
- The praying woman: This website is a great one. Awesome resources on many life issues, from faith to parenting and courting. It has it all. Written by different authors but absolutely apt and uplifting.
- Dephne Madyara: If you watch my YouTube Videos, You’d know this lady. I’ve mentioned her before and I just love how she shares the word. She has a series on the holy spirit, courting and beauty. My spirit resonates with her and she’s been an absolute blessing to me.
There are lots of other Christian blogs but I read just a few……Do let me know which other faith-based blogs you read. I would love to add more to my reading list.
How did you weekend go? Sorry I’ve been MIA, my week has been uber busy. I’m working on a project for Naijanaturals.com…. but hopefully would be free this coming week.
On that note, kindly help me fill this survey HERE
I’d be back to blogging full time!

YESTERDAY WAS MY BIRTHDAY
Posted on June 27, 2016 5 Comments

Hello!
Yesterday I was a year older (June 26th), it was one of my best birthdays ever. I didn’t even take pictures amidst all the celebrations(left my SD card at home). I went to church and had lunch with my brother, a family friend and three of my close friends. It was a very intimate and lovely day. I received gifts and my social media pages were also filled with well wishes.

Hope your week has kicked off well….

Hello there,
It’s been a while on here….I won’t proceed without elucidating to the readers of this segment the reason why I have been MIA (Missing In Action). On the 4th of June, 2016, I took my marriage vows before God, family and friends *blushing*. Prior to this time, I was super busy with the wedding planning, change of apartments, packing, amongst others *whew*. So please pardon me. God has been sooo amazing! Liftings everywhere!! I return all glory to Him.
So tell me, how have you guys been? How’s studies, work, business? How’s life generally? I hope all is well.
While thinking about how I haven’t been in touch for a while and what to write, one thought dominated my mind, which I consider worth sharing. Took a hiatus in my mind to think of why I started this segment, asking myself what academic excellence really means to me? Why do I consider doing well in academics very important (considering the fact that I didn’t start of as an ‘A’ student)? Having thought of these questions more than once, I got an honest series of answers which I had never paid much attention to until now.
Growing up, I was an average student. By average I mean, provided there was little or no ‘red biro’ in my report sheet and I didn’t have to repeat a class, I was fine with my result. My parents are educated civil servants so I didn’t grow up in a house of ‘scholars’, by scholars I mean like Professor, Medical Doctor, etc. However, my parents invested in my education by getting me lesson teachers whether school was in session or not. At this point I never really understood why I needed to put my best in this thing called academics. I just used to envy the A students back then in secondary school at how ‘lucky’ they were…how ‘easy’ JAMB/Post UME was gonna be for them….I wished to be like them, however, I stopped at wishing…..could not go extra mile because I did not even understand why I needed to be above average….I didn’t stretch myself to be the best but I was stretching my faith for better academic result. What my faith produced was average not best…what that thought me was, God cannot do for us what we are not really desiring. No wonder Bishop Oyedepo said ‘Expectation is the mother of manifestation”, God is not a God of waste. Until we really understand what we want and why we want it, it is unlikely for God to grant our request. Unfortunately, most of us stretch our faith for what we really don’t want (need) yet.
Getting to the University, my goal was not to have any carry over. I really didn’t understand the ‘5pointer concept’…until the first semester result was released… then I saw my classmates having first class GPAs, that moment was very defining for me because then classmates/lecturers selected their friends/ ‘tutors’/protégée. That was just the propelling force I needed, I saw the ‘regard/respect’ accorded to fellow classmates that had exceptional academic performance. From that moment it became forward ever for me and the rest they say is history. Although I didn’t graduate with a first class CGPA, but God helped me make a 4.38 of 5.00. This is why I am always telling any Uni student I come across that first semester of first year in Uni is the determining factor. This might sound cliché but it’s true; it’s a matter of ‘if the foundation be destroyed what can the righteous do? Read More
7 LIFE LESSONS I LEARNT FROM AN ONLINE CONTEST
Posted on June 20, 2016 8 Comments
I’m sure you all got blog updates about this competition I participated in, #SUPERDAD contest organised by smile communications NG. An internet service provider in Nigeria.
I’m glad to announce that I was declared the winner yesterday and I am grateful.
It was a twitter held Father’s day contest where people got a chance to win prizes for themselves and their Dads to mark this special day. I was just online when I saw the competition being announced. I promptly entered not just because I’m a bona-fide Daddy’s girl who felt it would be awesome to win the prize- Two modems(mobile routers) and Free data for myself and my Dad) but also because majority of my work is done online, and this was a good opportunity get a mobile dongle and data for free. The one I had was a table top, so it’s not so great for out-of-home uses.
Participating was so intense for the two days it ran. I had 3 other major players and it took a lot of hard work to get on. Although, winning did not come easy. Smile NG put us under so much pressure & suspense, but looking back that made it fun. There were also some underlying issues with declaring a winner. However, Due to the events that followed, I won’t gratify those issues with a paragraph.
I’m so elated! especially that all those who contributed to this win believed it was well deserved. Thank you so much!!
In this post, I’d be sharing 7 key life Lessons I learnt from this experience, and as always I hope you are edified…... Read More

Hello!
So its day 2 of being on snapchat and I’m not sure if I can keep up …so many social media apps.
Remember I said I wasn’t sure how beneficial it would be for my brand if I joined, but I think I’ve found a way. You’d find out more about that if you add me up on there @LynnJaphet. I figured I can show my audience behind the scenes video shots, snippets from events and random nuggets amongst other things.
Yesterday I did a mini tour of my filming set up and also learnt how to use this ‘magical’ Garland filter… I was in awe LOL.
Follow me on instagram to see my first reaction… or see below.
It’s just day two and I keep forgetting about the app, maybe after a week I’d be hooked!
So YES! This is a public service announcement!! I’ve joined snapchat, so follow me and lets get closer……
can’t wait to see your notifications…
