OOTD + BRAID LIFE!

Hello!

How has your week been? Mine has been great, Thank God!

With the fuel scarcity still ongoing I’ve still managed to fill my tank and go about my daily business.

This week, I knew I’d be quite occupied so brushing my hair daily won’t really work. I decided to braid my hair instead. I used the regular ‘expression’ extensions. I wanted the braids scanty and long, the stylist got it just right.

This is also the first time I’m braiding my year in over 3 years. It didn’t hurt and I’ve just been loving the ease and versatility.

My outfit today is casual…. I have on a T-shirt from Jeffery Coen which I would be reviewing in the next post. This is one of two!

Hello,

How’s your day going….. Here’s an outfit post from today. My friend Henry came over to see me during lunch break and we took these photos. I’m getting used to people staring while I shoot blog pictures on the road……I love Nigerians LOL. Henry is super cool, He blogs at Thefashdiaries . Do check him out…

Today is my brother Jide’s birthday, and coincidentally I received some lovely cakes from Demi’s desserts, soo yummy! I would review them later so be on the look out…..

My outfit today was impromptu, I rushed out to the office this morning, but I guess it turned out good. I’m back to my hair.

BACK TO BASICS

Hello,

Here’s an outfit post from today. I think I’m going to buy a small umbrella that I can put in my purse, the sun in Lagos is scorching, I’ve reduced my makeup drastically to avoid sweating, all I need now is a good sunscreen! please recommend a good one I can buy… thank you ^.^.

Also I’ve gone back to my bun. I would soon return to weave but I needed a breather……….Been a while I did a natural hair post/update, would do one soon..

This is one of my favorite dresses, I wear it every time there’s no time to scatter my closet for what to wear……

How’s your day going? mine is a bit busy but good so far. Sorry I missed out on the weekend roundup, I had a chilled weekend. Church and mostly sleep……..Although I went to Yaba market with my friend and it wasn’t a pleasant experience. The rowdiness and the shop owners pulling us to check out their stalls was just not nice. Never again! lol

On sunday I went to church with Obum, had some froyo from sweet kiwi(It’s safe to say I’m a very loyal customer) then we went over to my friend Jennifer’s store. She’s a fashion designer, Obum and I wanted her to make some shift dresses for us. I would show you them when its made.

WEEKEND ROUNDUP + OWAMBE OOTD

Hello people,

How did your weekend go? Mine was quite busy and exciting….Let me first share a ‘goodnews’, my cargo with all my lights and filming equipment has arrived so I shall begin vlogging ASAP!

So back to my weekend,I Visited quite a few places, from SweetKiwi to IamCookieJar bakery, and also attended a wedding, actually my friend Mimi’s introduction. That was the highlight of the weekend. Mimi brought the asoebi Gele to me like 3days before the wedding and I had no tailor to sew the outfit. I went down my street and found a tailor who was willing to sew me a dress in short notice.

She charged me for express service, but I collected the dress Friday night and she didn’t disappoint. No amendment needed whatsoever, just a perfect fit. The next day was the event and I tied a Gele…God bless the late Adenike of Ewarmakeovers who put up a video on how to tie a gele on YouTube, that’s how I learnt how to tie……may her soul rest in peace.

I think I didn’t do a horrid Job in that department, I got there in good time and I was pleased my Gele wasn’t out-of-place. (Pink is such a vibrant colour! new fav)

Also over the weekend I received a package from @twentysix.co . I won a lovely skirt on their Instagram page and they had delivered it to my mum since, but my mum just remembered and gave it to me. It was well packaged and the skirt was a perfect fit! I shall do an outfit post on that later…

Also on Sunday afternoon, I went round Lekki today with my friends Lano and Mayowa, I went to sweetKiwi for the first time since I got back to try their frozen Yogurt, I heard about the buzz and wanted to try….and yes it was worth every Naira. I had a mix of the york cheesecake, sweet kiwi and pineapple flavour…toppings were granola, grapes and oreo cookie crumbs…it was so good! The staff was extremely polite, our attendant’s name was ‘Shedrach’, very courteous man. I also went to cookiejar bakery because Lano was craving some cake, we didn’t eventually get the type she wanted we had to go to coldstone, yet we didn’t satisfy Lano’s sweet tooth…..lolMoving on……..I also deep conditioned my hair this weekend, this Lagos weather hasn’t been the most exciting so my hair needed some TLC. I washed my hair and did a quick vinegar rinse (spraying your hair with diluted acid cider vinegar and washing it out after 20minutes). That helps to wash out dandruff and existing product buildup… I shared on my Instagram page details of that.

Finally! A new salon and makeup studio opened in my area(Ajah), It belongs to my aunt @shalzmakeupGeek , It’s a beautiful environment for your one stop beauty needs. They offer Massages, facials, makeovers, salon , photography etc! Milles visages is located before Ado round about, inside de-legacy Plaza ado road 08181514982. Ensure you visit and refer them! lots of freebies this month!

WEEKEND ROUND UP + O.O.T.D

Hello all!

Hope your weekend went well? Mine was rather eventful. I went to church, attended a wedding and also went out with a friend to Yellow Chilli. I finally had the ‘almighty’ Sea food Okra and pounded yam(Not poundo) from there. Before I came to Nigeria the hype has been so much about that particular meal…so when Taiwo invited me out I was excited to give it a try. The food was good and the service was Excellent. Our server ‘Nerngyu’ was so polite and prompt with our orders. I liked the ambience, the people and the food was great. I got full rather quickly..However the bathroom didn’t do it for me……it was a bit untidy and dark.

Moving on to saturday, I attended a friend’s wedding…….she invited me on short notice and having cargoed all my boxes(still waiting on them) I didn’t have what to wear. I had to buy a new dress. I went to a boutique in Ikota shopping complex and in like 5minutes I found a dress. The sales girl made me wear the dress before telling me the price, I should have refused…… upon trying the dress it fit like a glove so I had to buy it regardless of the price….But it wasn’t too bad…. I attended the wedding with my friends Obum and Mayowa. It was fun and I caught up with lots of people from my Alumni….

Today I had a meeting and also had to do some work for my dad at the office….Here’s what I wore. I know its been a while I put up an Outfit post. Please bear with me………as soon as I sort out my luggage I’d resume fashion blogging and videos..
